December 31, 2007: December Round-Up:
In this month's round-up: Rógvi Jacobsen joins Norwegian 1st division club IL Hødd. GÍ/LÍF appoint Brazilian coach. B36 have lost their 3rd international player since the end of the season. "New" Faroese 1st division club is called 07 Vestur. And more transfer news.

November 30, 2007: November Round-Up:
Transfers, retirements and other news about the 2007 Formula Division preparations as well as news on two friendly internationals against Iceland and Luxemburg.

November 28, 2007: Player of the Year Awards 2007:
NSÍ Runavík sweep the board at the Player of the Year awards ceremony that was held on Friday, October 16. NSÍ midfielder Nenad Stankovic won the prestigious title "Player of the Year".

November 25, 2007: World Cup 2010 Qualifying Draw:
The Faroe Islands meet Austria again. The other countries are France, Romania, Serbia and Lithuania.

November 21, 2007: UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifier, Group B:
Rógvi Jacobsen breaks the Faroese scoring record, but world champions Italy win 3-1 ( Match highlights on video included).

10-Men Italy Struggle to Beat the Faroe Islands.

November 17, 2007: U21 Qualifying round:
After an even first half which Albania led 1-0, Albania scored 4 in the second half to inflict the Faroe Islands with their biggest loss in their short U-21 history.

October 27, 2007: Round 27 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur take the silver medals, as B36 Tórshavn lose to HB Tórshavn.

October 21, 2007: Round 26 of the Formula Division:
NSÍ Runavík win the 2007 Formula Division Title. 2nd place still not decided, as EB/Streymur beat B36 Tórshavn.

October 20, 2007: 1st division news:
B68 Toftir and ÍF Fuglafjørður make speedy return to the Formula Division.

October 17, 2007: UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifier, Group B:
After holding Ukraine for 40 minutes, everything was wrecked in 5 disastrous last minutes of the first half as Ukraine scored three times and went on to add another two in the 2nd half.

October 17, 2007: U21 Qualifying round:
The Faroe Islands U21-team take an early lead against Croatia, but have to surender to the superior Croatians and lose 1-2.

October 16, 2007: UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifier, Group B:

October 14, 2007: U21 Qualifying round:
After Faroe Islands senior team's humiliating 0-6 loss to France yesterday, the Faroese under-21 team salvaged some pride today by beating Azerbaijan's U21 team.

October 13, 2007: UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifier, Group B:
France stroll to easy 6-0 victory over lackluster Faroe Islands as Thierry Henry equals Michel Platini's all time scoring record for France. (Includes video of all the goals).

October 07, 2007: Round 25 of the Formula Division:
NSÍ Runavík all but secure the championship title as they beat GÍ Gøta while B36 Tórshavn lose against B71 Sandoy.

September 30, 2007: Round 24 of the Formula Division:
NSÍ Runavík edging closer and closer to the championship title...

September 23 & 24, 2007: Round 23 of the Formula Division:
NSÍ Runavík go 2 points clear at the top of the table, as B36 Tórshavn are held to a 1-1 draw by Skála on Monday evening. NSÍ Runavík score a late winner once again and go 3 points clear of B36 Tórsahvn who doesn't play before Monday. HB Tórshavn lose to EB/Streymur and wave goodbye to their outside chance of retaining the championship. B71 Sandoy book a place in next season's top flight by beating VB/Sumba.

September 16, 2007: Round 22 of the Formula Division:
NSÍ Runavík's stoppage-time winner against EB/Streymur keeps them level on points with B36 Tórshavn on top of the table.

September 12, 2007: UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifier, Group B:
Another loss for the Faroe Islands to add to their collection as they lose 2-1 away to Lithuania. - Includes video highlights of the match.

September 12, 2007: U21 Qualifying round:
Faroe Islands U21 0 - 2 Greece U21.

September 07, 2007: U21 Qualifying round:
Faroe Islands U21 narrowly beaten by Italian future stars. - Includes video highlights of the match.

September 02, 2007: Round 21 of the Formula Division:
HB Tórshavn and EB/Streymur cut the lead to the leaders B36 Tórshavn and NSÍ Runavík to 6 pointes, as the latter two draw in today's top-match.

August 26, 2007: Round 20 of the Formula Division:
B36 and NSÍ neck and neck at the top, as B36 draw and NSÍ win. HB Tórshavn and EB/Streymur also neck and neck in 3rd spot as they close the gap to the leaders to 8 points - but surely, it's too late... AB Argir beat VB/Sumba in the battle of the bottom and close the gap to B71 Sandoy in 8th position to 8 points, but surely it's too late for AB also, isn't is...?

August 19 & 20, 2007: Round 19 of the Formula Division:
Total GÍ collapse saw HB turn 0-1 to 4-1 in just 12 minutes in the 2nd half. B36 Tórshavn climb to the top of the table as NSÍ Runavík falter against Skála. Newly crowned cup winners EB/Streymur only manage a draw against lowly AB Argir who look doomed, together with VB/Sumba.

August 15, 2007: The Cup Competition – The Final:
EB/Streymur beat HB Tórshavn in the Cup final in a 7-goal thriller.

August 12, 2007: Round 18 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur drop out of the title race as they are beaten by HB Tórshavn. Leaders NSÍ Runavík and B36 Tórshavn keep winning. Stupid change of rules means that AB Argir and VB Sumba have nothing to play for, even though 9 matches are remaining.

August 04 - 08, 2007: Round 17 of the Formula Division:
Andrew av Fløtum makes a hat trick in 30 minutes on Gundadalur's new surface, as HB Tórshavn beat a very poor AB Argir 4-0. NSÍ Runavík march on while EB/Streymur snatch dramatic stoppage-time winner against VB/Sumba. KÍ Klaksvík take a huge step out of the relegation zone by beating Skála.

Skála win appeal – B36 drop to 2nd place in the table.

August 02, 2007, UEFA Cup, 1st qualifying round, 2nd leg:
B36 lose 3-2 away to Ekranas. EB/Streymur rue missed penalty as they draw 1-1 with MyPa 47.

July 25, 2007, UEFA Champions League, 1st qualifying round, 2nd leg:
0-0 between the neighboring champions of the north, HB Tórshavn and FH Hafnarfjørður, was probably a just result after an even 90 minutes on Tórsvøllur tonight.

As the transfer window is closing at midnight, clubs are doing last gasp efforts to strengthen their squad. Christian Høgni Jacobsen, Evrard Ble and Christian Lundberg are some of the high profile signings.

Anderson Castilho switches from NSÍ Runavík to title-rivals B36 Tórshavn. KÍ Klaksvík sign Danish forward Denni Conteh.

July 19, 2007, UEFA Cup, 1st qualifying round, 1st leg:
EB/Streymur still within a chance after 0-1 away to Finnish side Mypa. B36 Tórshavn are past hope as they concede 3 goals at home against Lithuanian outfit Ekranas.

July 18, 2007, UEFA Champions League, 1st qualifying round, 1st leg:
HB Tórshavn all but knocked out of the Champions League after 1-4 defeat away to Icelandic champions FH Hafnarfjørður in the 1st leg of the 1st qualifying round.

July 13, 2007: Faroe Islands International News
Faroe Islands's National coach Jógvan Martin Olsen given two-year extention to his contract so it runs to the end of the 2009 World Cup qualifiers.

July 11, 2007: The Cup competition 2007, Semi-finals, 2nd leg:
HB Tórshavn and EB/Streumur reach the cup final with 2nd leg 1-0 victories over VB/Sumba and Skála, respectively.

June 27 & July 7 & 8, 2007: Round 16 of the Formula Division:
The championship title becomes a showdown between NSÍ Runavík and B36 Tórshavn as the chasers fall by the wayside. VB/Sumba draw against GÍ Gøta and have now lost only 1 of their last 6, but 1-pointers aren't going to cut it for them. B36's Sylla sinks sorry HB!

July 03, 2007: Formula Division News:
B36 Tórshavn are awarded the victory over Skála, after the initial match ended in a 1-1 draw. In effect, innocent NSÍ Runavík and EB/Streymur are punished the most!

July 02, 2007: Faroe Islands International News
20 year old Faroe Islands U21 international goalkeeper Gunnar Nielsen signs a two-year contract with Premier League club Blackburn Rovers.

July 01 & July 04, 2007: Round 15 of the Formula Division:
B36 Tórshavn open up a 2 point gap as NSÍ Runavík and EB/Streymur draw. HB Tórshavn still cannot win away to VB/Sumba.

June 30, 2007: KÍ Klaksvík vs. Hammarby, UEFA Intertoto Cup:
KÍ Klaksvík lose 2-1 to Hammarby in the second leg of the 1st round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup.

June 29, 2007: Champions League and UEFA Cup Draw:
HB Tórshavn draw Icelandic champions FH Hafnafjørður in the Champions League. B36 Tórshavn meet Ekranas from Lithuania and EB/Streymur meet MyPa from Finland.

June 28, 2007: Formula Division news:
HB Tórshavn coach Krzyzstof Popczynski is sacked after yesterday's loss to B36 Tórshavn. At the same time HB announce they have signed forward/midfield-player Andrew av Fløtum.

June 27 & July 7 & 8, 2007: Round 16 of the Formula Division:
VB/Sumba draw against GÍ Gøta and have now lost only 1 of their last 6, but 1-pointers aren´t going to cut it for them. Sylla sinks sorry HB!

June 23, 2007: Hammarby vs. KÍ Klaksvík, UEFA Intertoto Cup:
KÍ Klaksvík lose by odd goal away to Hammarby in the first leg of 1st round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup.

June 20, 23. & 24, 2007: Round 14 of the Formula Division:
HB close the gap (provisionally) to the top again by winning against KÍ Klaksvík where the "danger level" is approaching "red alert". NSÍ Runavík open up a 3 point gap by beating VB/Sumba.

June 16 & 17, 2007: Round 13 of the Formula Division:
Late NSÍ Runavík goal sends HB Tórshavn crashing and NSÍ to the top, but equal on points with EB/Streymur who beat KÍ Klaksvík. B36 fail to regain top spot as they lose against bottom team AB Argir.

June 13, 2007: The Cup competition 2007, Semi-finals, 1st leg:
HB Tórshavn struggle to beat VB/Sumba 3-1 in the 1st leg of the Cup semifinals. EB/Streymur beat Skála 2-0.

June 10, 2007: Round 12 of the Formula Division:
3 teams level on top of the Formula Division as B36 and NSÍ draw and EB/Streymur lose to Skála.

June 09, 2007: Formula Division news:
B71 Sandoy coach Dusan Mokan quits his job due to personal reasons.

June 06, 2007: UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifier, Group B:
The Faroe Islands rue host of missed scoring opportunities in the second half, where the Scotts were overrun for long periods of the half, but scotland dominated the first half, although they created few scoring opportunities, but took full advantage of Faroese mistakes to get their two goals (Includes videos).

June 02, 2007: UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifier, Group B:
World Champions Italy win 2-1 against the Faroe Islands, but not without a fight (Includes videos).

May 31, 2007: Formula Division news:
AB Argir name Sigfríður Clementsen as new coach.

May 29, 2007: Formula Division news:
AB Argir announced today that they have parted company with coach Oddbjørn Joensen. The decision is said to be mutual.

May 26 & 28 , 2007: Round 11 of the Formula Division:
After the top-2, EB/Streymur and B36, draw and NSÍ on 3rd win, the top of the Formula Division table is getting more and more crowded, where EB/Streymur now lead B36 and NSÍ by only 1 point. Also HB is closing in, as they are now 5 points behind EB/Streymur after beating Skála. At the other end of the table, AB and VB/Sumba get one useless point each after a 2-2 draw.

May 22, 2007: Formula Division news:
KÍ Klaksvík appoint Paris's assistant, Eyðun Klakstein, as new head-coach.

May 21, 2007: The Cup, Semi-finals draw:
HB Tórshavn draw lowly VB/Sumba while league leaders EB/Streymur draw in-form Skála for the Cup semi-finals. See the full draw and dates here.

May 20, 2007: Round 10 of the Formula Division:
Top 3 all win, but champions HB Tórshavn are downed by GÍ Gøta for the second time this season.

May 17, 2007: The Cup competition 2007, Quarter-finals:
HB Tórshavn easily beat AB Argir to qualify for the quarter finals. Formula Division leaders EB/Streymur win over 1st division-team ÍF Fuglafjørður on penalties. Also Skála qualify after a shoot-out with KÍ Klaksvík. VB/Sumba score 2 injury-time goals to get past 1st division team TB Tvøroyri.

May 15, 2007: Formula Division news:
KÍ Klaksvík part company with coach Tony Paris after a string of poor results this season that has seen KÍ drop to 8th position in the table, just one place above the relegation line.

May 13 & 14, 2007: Round 09 of the Formula Division:
HB Tórshavn are back in the title-race after a 3-0 win over leaders EB/Streymur. B36 Tórshavn stay 2nd after a 1-1 draw with Skála. KÍ Klaksvík drop to 8th after defeat to GÍ Gøta.

May 06, 2007: Round 08 of the Formula Division:
Champions HB Tórshavn held by newcomers AB Argir and fall 7 points behind leaders EB/Streymur.

May 02, 2007: Round 07 of the Formula Division:
HB Tórshavn leapfrog NSÍ in the table and move up to 3rd, but still 5 points adrift of EB/Streymur, who lead B36 Tórshavn by 2 points.

April 30, 2007: The Cup, Quarter-finals draw:
HB Tórshavn and EB/Streymur draw easy opponents for the Cup quarter finals. See the full draw here.

April 28 - 29, 2007: Round 06 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur still on top, but B36 Tórshavn leapfrog NSÍ Runavík, as NSÍ are beaten by HB Tórshavn, who go 4th.

April 22, 2007: Round 05 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur lose fo the first time this season as they are beaten by B36 Tórshavn. HB are back in it with a well deserved victory over KÍ Klaksvík. And coach-less Skála get their first points of the season with an emphatic 3-0 win over GÍ Gøta.

April 19, 2007: Formula Division news:
Skála sack coach Dragan Kovacevic after poor start to the season and name John Petersen as successor.

April 15, 2007: Round 04 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur keep theit 100% record and open up a 3 point-gap to followers NSÍ Runavík, who lose to KÍ Klaksvík; and defending champions HB Tórshavn fall 8 poinst behind after a draw with B36 Tórshavn.

B36 Tórshavn win the Lions Cup (= "Charity Shield") after beating HB Tórshavn on penalties.
