July 01 & 04, 2007: Round 15 of the Formula Division:

VB Sumba - HB Tórshavn 0-0
Sacking the coach didn't help much for HB as they were held to a scoreless draw away to bottom team VB/Sumba (by the way, the first scoreless match of the season). For many years, it used to be impossible for any team to beat VB/Sumba at their home ground, but for the last 3-4 years, these statistics have changed. – Except for HB, who just still cannot win there. Since 1988, HB have won only 3 times in 20 meetings away to VB/Sumba (previously only called VB). VB/Sumba dominated the first half, as they had the rather strong wind in the back, but HB dominated the second half, as they now had the assist of the wind. A quarter of an hour into the second half, HB struck the crossbar with a wind assisted shot almost from the halfway line. That was the closest they came. HB are now a staggering 10 points adrift of B36 in top spot in the table. Last season, HB also trailed the leaders EB/Streymur by 8 points late in the season, but still managed to win, and before the match today, HB maybe had a faint hope of repeating that feat, but with the difference having grown to 10 points now, it's 100% good bye to HB's title hopes! For VB/Sumba, who have improved much over the last few weeks, the sole point take them to within 3 points of KÍ Klaksvík in 8th place, who play against AB Argir on Wednesday.

NSÍ Runavík - EB/Streymur 1-1 (0-1)
0-1 Arnbjørn Hansen
1-1 Hjalgrím Eltør

EB/Streymur took the lead against the run of play 25 minutes into the first half, when Arnbjørn Hansen took advantage of a defensive mistake and gave us another example of his lethal finishing when he from an acute angle found the back of the net behind Jens Martin Knudsen in the NSÍ goal. Shortly before the interval, EB/Streymur nearly doubled the lead when Ronnie Samuelsen headed against the crossbar. But 20 minutes into the 2nd half Hjalgrím Elttør equalized for NSÍ in connection with a corner. EB/Streymur rallied after this and went close on several occasions and once hit the underside of the crossbar. But NSÍ held out and stay in second place in the table, 2 points adrift of B36, but with a game in hand. EB/Streymur stay in 3rd place, 3 points adrift of NSÍ, with the same number of games. A positive note for EB/Streymur was that Sorin Anghel came on for the last few minutes after weeks f absent.

B36 Tórshavn - GÍ Gøta 4-0 (2-0)
1-0 Amed Davy Sylla
2-0 Mikkjal Thomassen
3-0 Mikkjal Thomassen
4-0 Hanus Thorleifsson

The score-line suggests a one-sided affaire and that is exactly what it was, as traffic went only one-way throughout the 90 minutes. Formula division top scorer, Ivorian Sylla, opened the party half an our into the first half with a header, and Mikkjal Thomassen made it 3-0 with a brace on either site of halftime, before Hanus Thorleifsson made it 4-0 shortly before the final whistle. This was B36's 8th clean sheet in 16 matches. In comparison, in the 2006 season EB/Streymur and Skála had 7 clean sheets each, while B36 and HB had 6 in the 27 match-league. As chasers NSÍ and EB/Streymur drew, B36 opened up a 2 point gap to NSÍ in 2nd spot, who again lead EB/Streymur by 3, but B36 have played 1 game more. GÍ, who lost away for the first time, stay in 5th place.

B71 Sandoy - Skála 0-2 (0-0)
0-1 Alexandur Johansen
0-2 Slavisa Kaplanovic

After a scoreless first half, Skála took the lead a couple of minutes into the second half. Símin Hansen almost levelled the score around the half hour mark, but Skála's goalkeeper parried the shot onto the post and out. Ten minutes later, Slavisa Kaplanovic made the points safe for Skála with a good shot that went in off the post. B71 are still in a relative safe position, but if AB Argir beat KÍ on Wednesday, then the margin is only 6 points between B71 and the drop-line.

04 July:

KÍ Klaksvík - AB Argir 1-0 (1-0)
1-0 Heðin á Lakjuni

KÍ won the bottom clash against AB Argir and pumped some much needed air between themselves and today's opponents AB Argir in 9th place in the table. The difference is now 5 points, which will be very difficult for AB to make up now. KÍ got the all-important goal 35 minutes into the first half, when Heðin á Lakjuni scored on a rebound after his own initial header was saved by the goalkeeper. KÍ's team had been strengthened by Atli Danielsen, who is on loan from Danish 1st division club Frem (Danielsen is originally from KÍ). At the death, Danielsen was given the red card for a 2nd bookable offense. Also Ovi Nysted, who has played for B36 in the first half of the season, will play for KÍ in the second half. AB has also made some changes since the transfer window opened a few days ago. Veteran Allan Mørkøre has switched from B36 and Vagnur Mohr Mortensen has come from HB. In addition to this, AB have also signed a Danish player, 19 year old Christos Patsamanis. On the other hand, goal machine Súni Fríði Barbá has moved to 1st division club FS Vágar 2004. Barbá was player/assistant coach before AB appointed new coach Sigríður, but was then released from the assistant coach-duty, that made him decide to move to a new club. Also forward Tummas Hans Rubeksen has left AB and has joined B36.
