December 31, 2006: December Round-Up:
In the midst of the silly season regarding Faroese soccer, there's not much to report except a couple of transfers and a more noticeable signing with Manchester City.

November 13, 2006: Player of the Year Awards 2006:
On Sunday it was revealed that Jákup á Borg of HB Tórshavn had been voted as the 2006 Player of the Year.

October 31, 2006: October Round-Up:
Transfers and other news about the 2007 Formula Division preparations.

October 21, 2006: Round 27 of the Formula Division:
HB Tórshavn win the championship title as they score in the 89th minute and take advantage of EB/Streymur's loss to KÍ Klaksvík, who score the winner in the 83rd minute. ÍF Fuglafjørður and B68 Toftir are relegated.

October 15 & 17, 2006: Round 26 of the Formula Division:
Rógvi Jacobsen's stoppage time winner for HB Tórshavn keeps the title undecided until the last match of the season. And in the relagation battle, VB/Sumba beat NSÍ Runavík to move up to 8th place.

October 14, 2006: The Cup Final:
B36 Tórshavn beat KÍ Klaksvík 2-1 to clinch the 2006 Cup title.

October 11, 2006: UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifier, Group B:
France need only 36 seconds to score against the Faroe Islands.

October 07, 2006: UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifier, Group B:
Faroe Islands beaten by Lithuania's 89th minute winner.

October 01, 2006: Round 25 of the Formula Division:
HB Tórshavn beat VB/Sumba to cut EB/Streymur's lead in the table to only 2 points, as EB/Streymur lose to GÍ Gøta.

September 27, 2006: The Cup Competition:
B36 Tórshavn qualify for the final after beating EB/Streymur on penalties. KÍ is the other finalist, after beating Skála 2-0 on the night and 5-0 on aggregate.

September 24, 2006: Round 24 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur can only draw against B68 Toftir and as HB Tórshavn win over B36 Tórshavn, HB close the gab to 5 points, with 3 matches remaining.

September 20, 2006: The Cup Competition:
Narrow 1-0 victory to EB/Streymur over B36 Tórshavn in the first leg of the Cup semifinal. KÍ Klaksvík all but secure their place in the final with a comprehensive 3-0 victory away to Skála.

September 17, 2006: Round 23 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur close in on title as B36 Tórshavn lose to ÍF Fuglafjørður. HB Tórshavn move up to 2nd after beating KÍ Klaksvík 5-1.

September 10 and 11, 2006: Round 22 of the Formula Division:
No changes in the top, as all the top teams win.

September 8, 2006, Formula Division:
ÍF Fuglafjørður – GÍ Gøta to be replayed because ÍF had 12 players on the field!

September 02, 2006: UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifier, Group B:
The Faroe Islands receive their second tennis-egg in succession, as they lose 6-0 to Scotland.

August 27, 2006: Round 21 of the Formula Division:
HB's title-hopes end with uninspired draw against Skála. And if this was about Formula One, the headline would probably read: "only a puncture can now stop EB/Streymur from winning the title", as they win 4-1 over NSÍ Runavík. But B36 Tórshavn still hang in there.

August 26, 2006: The Cup Competition:
HB reinstated to the Cup!

August 20 and 21, 2006: Round 20 of the Formula Division:
HB Tórshavn beat NSÍ Runavík to close in on EB/Streymur who lose to B36 Tórshavn.

August 16, 2006: UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifier, Group B:
The Faroe Islands are downed 6-0 by Georgia in a lackluster display at home.

August 12, 2006: Round 19 of the Formula Division:
NSÍ Runavík in hot pursuit of leaders EB/Streymur who draw against HB Tórshavn.

August 05 and 08, 2006: Round 18 of the Formula Division:
Spectacular save from goalkeeper Bárður Johannesen denies ÍF Fuglafjørður the equalizer against HB Tórshavn, who win 3-1 in the end. But EB/Streymur are odds on favourites to clinch the title after beating KÍ Klaksvík 4-1 on Saturday

August 05, 2006: The Cup Competition:
Competition Commission reaches same verdict again: HB out!

Aug. 1st, 2006, UEFA Champions League, 2nd qualifying round, 2nd leg:
Unnecessary big loss for B36 Tórshavn after holding Fenerbahce for 43 minutes.

July 27, 2006, UEFA Cup, 1st qualifying round, 2nd leg:
GÍ Gøta rue 2-minute blackout as they lose 2-0 to Ventspils. Start Kristiansand finishes off Skála with an easy 3-0 victory.

July 26, 2006, UEFA Champions League, 2nd qualifying round, 1st leg:
B36 get away from Istanbul with a "decent" result.

July 24, 2006: The Cup Competition:
The Sports Federation's Tribunal Rules: Do it Once Again, Please!

July 19, 2006, UEFA Champions League, 1st qualifying round, 2nd leg:
A 2-2 draw is enough for B36 to set up a lucrative tie with Turkish side Fenerbahce in the second qualifying round of UEFA Champions League.

June 29; July 12 & 16, 2006: Round 17 of the Formula Division:
HB Tórshavn score the winner over B68 Toftir deep into stoppage time. The game between EB/Streymur and ÍF this evening was called off 10 minutes into the second half because of strong wind. Hat-trick for Christian Lundberg as KÍ Klaksvík beat GÍ Gøta 4-1 in the match brought forward from July 16 in round 17.

July 13, 2006, UEFA Cup, 1st qualifying round, 1st leg:
GÍ Gøta get ok-result away to Latvian side FK Ventspils. Skála get acceptable result after disastrous start against Norwegian Start Kristiansand.

July 11, 2006, UEFA Champions League, 1st qualifying round, 1st leg:
B36 Tórshavn win 3-0 away to Maltese champions Birkirkara FC.

July 09, 2006: Round 16 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur open up a 5 point-gap.

July 05, 2006: European Cup Preview:
Over the coming weeks, B36 Tórshavn, GÍ Gøta and Skála will be occupied with European soccer. – In addition to these 3 clubs, HB Tórshavn have already played its matches in the Intertoto Cup.

July 01 - 03, 2006: Round 15 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur put 8 goals behind B68 Toftir to recapture the top spot in the table. HB Tórshavn totally collapse as B36 Tórshavn win 6-0! VB/Sumba win another key-match as they beat fellow strugglers ÍF Fuglafjørður.

June 29; July 12 & 16, 2006: Round 17 of the Formula Division:
Hat-trick for Christian Lundberg as KÍ Klaksvík beat GÍ Gøta 4-1 in the match brought forward from July 16 in round 17.

June 28, 2006: The Cup Competition:
HB not buried yet – Court rules in favor of HB.

June 27, 2006: The Cup Competition:
HB lose their appeal – but don't give up yet.

June 21 - 25, 2006: Round 14 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur and GÍ Gøta are still one and two in the table, as they both draw against Skála and NSÍ Runavík, respectively. 3-3 thriller between arch-rivals, KÍ Klaksvík and HB Tórshavn.

June 24, 2006, UEFA Intertoto Cup, first round, second leg:
Owngoal Spoils HB Tórshavn's Intertoto Dream.

June 18, 2006, UEFA Intertoto Cup, first round, first leg:
Rasmus Nolsøe's free-kick earns HB Tórshavn an away-draw against FC Dinaburg from Latvia in the InterToto Cup.

June 14 - 18, 2006: Round 13 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur is back on the top of the table. GÍ Gøta beat HB Tórshavn.

June 11, 2006: Round 12 of the Formula Division:
10 men HB Tórshavn beat Skála and take the lead in the table, as EB/Streymur lose to NSÍ Runavík. KÍ suffered a shock defeat to B68 Toftir and B36, incredibly, could only draw with VB/Sumba.

June 05 - 06, 2006: Round 11 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur retain their lead with a 2-1 win over B36 Tórshavn. HB Tórshavn climb up to 3rd after beating NSÍ Runavík 2-1.

June 01, 2006: The Cup Competition:
The Soccer Association wins round 3 of the legal match vs. HB Tórshavn: HB is out of the Cup.

Faroese Bogi Petersen goes to the World Cup:
6 year old Bogi Petersen from the Faroe Islands to be a mascot in the Soccer World Cup in Germany 2006.

May 27 - 28, 2006: Round 10 of the Formula Division:
HB threw away a 2 goal lead and a possible 1st spot in the table in a frantic game against table-toppers, EB/Streymur. KÍ lose for the first time this season, as B36 beat them with an odd goal on Saturday evening.

May 25, 2006: The Cup Competition 2006 - Quarter Finals:
KÍ Klaksvík win in extra time to go through to the semi finals. B36 Tórshavn and Skála also qualify for the semi finals with 1-0 victories over B68 Toftir and NSÍ Runavík, respectively. See all the results and goal scorers from the quarter finals.

May 24, 2006: The Cup Competition:
Back at square one – HB not reinstated to the Cup yet, after all.

May 22, 2006: HB Tórshavn reinstated to the Cup competition
HB Tórshavn win their appeal and play EB/Streymur in the quarter final of the Cup competition on Thursday.

May 21, 2006: Round 09 of the Formula Division:
HB move up to second position after beating B68 Toftir.

May 19, 2006: Faroese Bogi Petersen goes to the World Cup:
6 year old Bogi Petersen from the Faroe Islands to be a mascot in the Soccer World Cup in Germany 2006.

May 14, 2006: Faroe Islands National Team:
Poland beat an inexperienced Faroe Islands team 4-0 in Wronki, Poland.

May 10-11, 2006: Round 08 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur hold on to their lead on the table after drawing against KÍ Klaksvík, who equalized with a man in deficit, after Paul Clapson received his second red card this season. HB Tórshavn close the gap on leaders EB/Streymur to only 3 points.

May 07, 2006: Round 07 of the Formula Division:
KÍ Klaksvík rob HB Tórshavn of victory in injury-time. EB/Streymur stay on top after drawing with B36. VB/sumba come back from 2 goals down to beat B68 Toftir and lift themselves to 7th position.

May 03, 2006: Faroe Islands National Team:
Faroe Islands coach picks new and inexperienced team for Poland friendly.

May 02, 2006: The Cup Competition:
The Soccer Association's executive committee has expelled HB Tórshavn from the cup, for having used a player who did not have a valid player certificate.

April 30, 2006: Round 06 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur is back on top after beating Skála. KÍ Klaksvík also leapfrog B36 and take second spot by demolishing B68 Toftir. VB/sumba get their first points by beating ÍF Fuglafjørður who are now rank bottom.

April 29, 2006: Atlantic Cup 2006:
B36 Tórshavn beat FH Hafnafjørður after penalties and win the Atlantic Cup 2006.

April 26, 2006: Round 06 of the Formula Division:
HB Tórshavn narrow the gap to leaders B36 Tórshavn to 3 points with a dramatic 2-0 victory in the Tórshavn derby.

April 23, 2006: Round 05 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur lose their 100 % record with a loss to NSÍ Runavík and stay 1 point behind B36 who won yesterday.

April 22, 2006: Round 05 of the Formula Division:
B36 Tórshavn claim 1st position on the table as they get the winner against B68 Toftir 10 minutes from time.

April 21, 2006: Ingi Højsted Returns to B36 Tórshavn:
Ingi Højsted, 20, who signed a contract with Premier League club, Birmingham City, in November 2005, is back with B36 Tórshavn in the Faroe Islands.

April 17, 2006: Round 04 of the Formula Division:
Samuelsen brothers make sure EB/Streymur keep their 100% record intact with another late winner in the top match against GÍ Gøta.

April 13, 2006: Round 03 of the Formula Division:
EB/Streymur keep their 100% record with last gasp goals and take 1st spot on the table as B36 Tórshavn draw with KÍ Klaksvík.
