Christian Høgni Jacobsen back with NSÍ Runavík
As the transfer window is closing at midnight, clubs are doing last gasp efforts to strengthen their squad. Earlier today we wrote about the high profile switch for NSÍ's Brazilian striker Anderson Castilho to title rivals B36 Tórshavn.
Well, there always was a suspicion that NSÍ had something in the melting pot, and todnight they announced that they have acquired Christian Høgni Jacobsen on loan from HB Tórshavn for the rest of the season. Christian Høgni has been the Formula Division's top scorer for the last two seasons, playing for NSÍ, but after he switched to HB this season, he has found it a bit more difficult cranking up the goals, scoring only three times.
Evrard Ble to AB Argir
Faroese newspaper Sosialurin writes this evening that VB/Sumba's Ivorian ball-artist Evrard Ble has moved to fellow strugglers AB Argir. This is a huge loss for VB/Sumba, as he is by far their best player. But if this is enough for AB Argir to catch KÍ Klaksvík whom they trail by 5 points remains to be seen...
Janus Joensen and Vagnur Mohr Mortensen back with HB Tórshavn
Sosialurin also writes that HB will have left back Janus Joesen (who was also captain) available again, after he has been living in Denmark since the end of last season. Likewise, central defender Vagnur Mohr Mortensen, who was supposed to play for HB this season, but because of a disagreement with now dismissed coach Krzysztof Popczynski, he only played 1 match for HB before he switched to AB Argir where he had a very short spell before he now returned to HB. HB will now have their back four-chain from last season intact again.
Christian Lundberg to GÍ Gøta
And then Sosialurin also writes that Danish striker Christian Lundberg, who played for KÍ Klaksvík for the second half of last season, has signed to play for GÍ Gøta for the rest of the season. There have also been other more low profile moves which we won't report here.
