Malta friendly cancelled
The planned friendly international at home against Malta in June has been cancelled because the two countries can’t find a date that suites both parties. But the deal has not been annulled, however, and the match will instead be played net year.

The Faroe Islands kick off their European Qualifying campaign in Finland on 7 September.

Date change for cup semi-final
Originally the first leg of both semi-finals in the cup competition were scheduled to be played on 21 May, but the first leg between B68 Toftir and HB Tórshavn has been postponed to Wednesday 4 June. Víkingur and EB/Streymur still play their first leg on Wednesday 20 May.

The second leg of both matches will be played on 18 June and the final on 30 August.

Six referees - two additional assistants
For the first time two additional assistant referees (behind the goal) will be used in a Faroese football match in the 1st leg of the semi-finals between Víkingur and EB/Streymur on Wednesday 20 May.

AB Argir goalkeeper Hans Jørgensen quits
Having been degraded to second choice goalkeeper after Oddbjørn Joensen became head-coach at AB, Hans Jørgensen has decided to quit the club.

It’s not clear what his future holds as the other clubs have capable goalkeepers, and only option at the moment is maybe if B68 goalkeeper Kristian Joensen moves abroad after the summer. Jørgensen was B68 goalkeeper in 2012.

Bárður J. Heinesen quits HB Tórshavn
HB Tórshavn forward Bárður J. Heinesen, who came from KÍ Klaksvík last year and who was mostly used as a substitute last season and has only made two appearances this season, has quit, citing his studies as the reason. He has also moved back to Klaksvík to live, but didn’t reveal his football future and whether he would start training with KÍ Klaksvík again.
