Two matches were scheduled for today; HB Tórshavn vs. TB Tvøroyri and B71 Sandoy vs. B68 Sandoy.

Tomorrow, EB/Streymur were supposed to play KÍ Klaksvík and 07 Vestur were taking on B36 Tórshavn.

The weather forecast is reporting cold weather for the rest of the week, so it's unlikely the matches will be played this week at all. And even the start of the league might be affected. The Formula Division is scheduled to start on Saturday 29 March.

Update, 27 march
The Cup quarter finals have been rescheduled for Wednesday, 2 April.

02 April:

HB Tórshavn – TB Tvøroyri 5-1
TB tried to keep the tie goalless as long as possible, playing very defensively. That worked for about 20 minutes, until Kári Nielsen with a perfect 50 metre-long pass played Christian Høgni Jacobsen clear in the penalty area, where Jacobsen touched the ball pasts the goalkeeper to make it 1-0 for HB.

10-15 minutes later, Jacobsen doubled the lead after he dribbled into the penalty area and placed the ball into the far side of the net.

About 10 minutes into the 2nd half, Christian Høgni Jacobsen was brought down in the penalty area. Andrew av Fløtum coolly converted the spot kick to make it 3-0.

Halfway through the half, Hendrik Rubeksen, who in pre-season has been banging in the goals for HB's 2nd team, made it 4-0 with a free header.

Shortly after the 80-minutes mark, TB were awarded a rather cheap penalty when the forward went down in the penalty area after a shoulder-tackle. Former HB player, Johann Eivind Restorff Mouritsen made no mistake from the penalty spot to give TB a consolation.

But a few minutes from the end, Hendrik Rubeksen got his second for HB to make it 5-1, when he got the last touch just in front of goal.

07 Vestur – B36 Tórshavn 5-7 after penalties
B36 had to come from behind to force extra time and eventually win on penalties against the 1st division side 07 Vestur, who in the previous round knocked out Formula Division outfit Víkingur.

B36 took the lead early in the 2nd half with a goal from Ingi Højsted. But 2 goals in 2 minutes from veteran Jens Erik Rasmussen put 07 Vestur in front midway through the half. But the lead was very short-lived, as B36 equalized just a minute after with a goal from Hungarian forward Karoly Potemkin.

No goals were scored in extra time.

In the penalty shoot out, B36 won 5-3 and qualify for the semi-finals.

B71 Sandoy – AB Argir 4-0
1st division side AB were resilient in the 1st half, but on the stroke of half-time, Rasmus Nielsen broke the deadlock to give B71 the lead. Nielsen added two more in the 2nd half to complete his hat-trick. Also Clayton Soares got on the score-sheet to make it 4-0 to B71.

EB/Streymur – KÍ Klaksvík 2-0
EB/Streymur beat KÍ for the 2nd time in 3 days, as they also beat KÍ 4-0 in the league on Sunday. Today the result was 2-0.

EB/Streymur took an early lead with a goal from Leif Niclasen. And although EB/Streymur's Bárður Olsen was given the red card a quarter of an hour into the 2nd half, it was still EB/Streymur who doubled their lead with a goal from Hans Pauli Samuelsen near the end.

The semi-finals will be played on 20 April and 12 May. The 4 clubs in the pot for the draw will be: EB/Streymur (holders), HB Tórshavn, B36 Tórshavn and B71 Sandoy; all Formula division clubs.
