B36 sign Senegalese forward
Champions B36 Tórshavn have announced they have signed Senegalese forward Ibrahima Camara to replace Player of the Year, Adeshina Lawal.

23-year-old Camara, physically strong and with pace, but who might not have quite the skill-set as Lawal, has proved his scoring abilities for lesser teams B68 Toftir and 07 Vestur however, where he has scored 18 goals in 60 top-league matches. He should do even better for a top team.

----

Jóan Símun Edmundsson to Denmark
Forward Jóan Símun Edmundsson, who scored 8 goals for HB Tórshavn and AB Argir last season, has signed for Danish 2nd tier club Vejle Boldklub, where he will team up with compatriot Viljormur Davidsen.  Should anybody have forgotten, it was Edmundsson who scored the winner in the famous victory over Greece in November.

Vejle are currently placed 9th in the 12-team league; a point above the relegation line.

Fróði Benjaminsen extends with HB
On New Years Eve, HB Tórshavn have announced that 37-year-old captain Fróði Benjaminsen, with a record 84 caps for the Faroe Islands, has extended his contract with the club for another year.

Champions B36 Tórshavn appoint Eyðun Klakstein as new coach
Champions B36 Tórshavn have announced that they have appointed Eyðun Klakstein as replacement for Sámal Erik Hente who quit after winning the title.

Klakstein comes from KÍ Klaksvík where he was coach for the last year and a half. He also had another spell with KÍ in 2007 and 2008 where he quit with six rounds remaining as KÍ were in relegation problems – which they didn’t overcome.

Klakstein has also been coaching the Faroese Under-19 team.

B36 say that one of the main reasons for appointing Klakstein is his ability to develop youngsters.

B36 defender Símun Joensen assistant coach at KÍ Klaksvík
B36 defender Símun Joensen, who had his most successive season for B36 in the title-winning season in 2011 but only made making 12 appearances this season, has moved back to his youth club KÍ Klaksvík where he has been named assistant coach. Initially, he’s not expected to be player-assistant.

Heðin á Lakjuni going for his 100th league goal
36-year old KÍ–player Heðin á Lakjuni, who missed a penalty in the last match of the season to score his 100th league goal, has decided to continue another season.

Á Lakjuni is also only four games behind 40-year old EB/Streymur player Egil á Bø who tops the list for most appearances in the top division with 407. It’s not clear whether á Bø will play this year.

----

Hallur Hansson to Danish 2nd tier club Vendsydsel FF
Víkingur midfielder Hallur Hansson has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with Danish 2nd tier club Vendsydsel FF who are currently 4th in the table; six points adrift of 1st and 2nd place which gives access to the top flight.

Hansson said he had regained his hunger for football, having lost some of it at the end of his term with AaB Aalborg where he didn’t get much playing time and therefore made the move back to Faroese football and Víkingur in 2014.

----

Rógvi Poulsen to AB Argir
Winger Rógvi Poulsen has returned to AB Argir after joining B36 midway through last season, but failed to make a real impact with the champions.

Poulsen was successful for AB in 2013, but not quite up there were he was when he peeked for HB Tórshavn in 2009 and 2010.

----

Símun Samuelsen assistant coach at HB Tórshavn
At HB, forward/winger Símun Samuelsen has been named assistant coach. Samuelsen has been sidelined through injury for the most of a year-and-a-half, but the hope is that he will return to full fitness in the forthcoming season.

René Joensen returning to Denmark in the summer
21-year old René Shaki Joensen will only be available for HB Tórshavn until the summer when he moves back to Denmark in quest for football at a higher level.

----

Serbian goalkeeper Predrag Markovic to ÍF Fuglafjørður
After goalkeeper Jákup Mikkelsen decided to retire, ÍF Fuglafjørður have acquired 37-year old Serbian goalkeeper Predrag Markovic, who they have bought out of his newly signed contract with 1st division club MB Miðvágur.

Markovic joined TB Tvøroyri in 2005 and has played 91 matches in the top flight for TB, Skála and B71 Sandoy as well as over 100 for TB, B71, AB Argir, HB Tórshavn, Giza/Hoyvík and MB Miðvágur in lower leagues.

Wheter Markovic will be 1st choice keeper or deputy to Hallgrím Hansen, who was deputy for Mikkelsen for a number of years, is unknown.
