Lars Olsen names a 24-man squad for the Finland qualifier
Faroese national coach Lars Olsen on Sunday announced his squad for the Euro qualifier against Finland on 7 September.

The squad includes 5 uncapped players in addition to several inexperienced ones with one or two caps.

Forward Jóan Símun Edmundsson has been left out this time because of a back injury.

UEFA changes rules for Europa League ticket
Previously, the rule has been that the losing cup finalist would get a Europa League ticked if the cup winners would also win the championship title.

But that has now been change, and a losing cup finalist will only qualify for Europe by being in the top 4 in the league table.

1st team debut for goalkeeper Kristian Joensen at Lyngby
Kristian Joensen who joined Danish 2nd tier club Lyngby in the summer made his 1st team debut in the 1st round of the cup competition on 13 August against 3rd tier team Avarta. Joensen kept a clean sheet, helping his club to a 2-0 win.

Adrian Cieslewicz, younger brother of Lukasz, who joined B36 Tórshavn in mid-summer had left again to join Welsh champions The New Saints on a two-year contract.

ÍF Fuglafjørður midfielder Karl Løkin has moved to Denmark and wont be available for the club for the rest of the season. Also defender Høgni Zachariassen is out for the rest of the season after fracturing a cheekbone.
