The draw for the semi-finals of the cup competition was made on Monday evening and it paired the last two years finalists Víkingur and EB/Streymur while HB will meet the winner of B68 Toftir and ÍF Fuglafjørður from the postponed quarterfinal-match which will be played on 7 may.
The first leg of the semi-finals will be on 21 May and the second leg on 18 June.

AB Argir appoint Oddbjørn Joensen as head coach
Not unexpectedly, AB a week ago named assistant coach Oddbjørn Joensen as new head coach to replace Bill McLeod Jacobsen who quit a couple of weeks ago.
Last season, Joensen was head coach at HB Tórshavn whom he guided to the title but was somewhat surprisingly not asked to continue at the helm of the champions.
On Sunday Joensen will have the chance to set the record straight as AB take on HB in the quarter final of the cup competition.
AB’s new assistant coach is the Dane Morten Overgaard who has been one of AB’s best players during the last years, but plagued by injuries, he has often been sidelined as he is at the moment – which is also very evident in AB’s defence where he is a centre-back.

AB Argir coach Bill McLeod Jacobsen quits
AB Argir announced on Tuesday that coach Bill McLeod Jacobsen had quit because of personal reasons.
Assistant coach Oddbjørn Joensen, who led HB Tórshavn to the title last season, will work as caretaker coach until AB have appointed a new coach – who could very well become Joensen.

Gilli Sørensen makes 1st team debut for AaB Aalborg
Winger Gilli Sørensen made his debut for AaB’s senior team on Wednesday 9 April in the second leg of the cup semi-final against AC Horsen which AaB won 2-1 on the night and 5-2 on aggregate. Sørensen came on with 20 minutes remaining.
Sørensen still has not appeared for the first team in the league, however.

The draw for the quarter finals of the cup competition was made on Monday evening and the outcome was this:

The matches take place on 27 April.

Rógvi Baldvinsson returns to Aalgaard
Faroe Islands international centre back Rógvi Baldvinsson, who went to Bryne in the Norwegian 2nd tier last year, has returned to his previous club Aalgaard in the Norwegian 3rd tier as prospects as a bench-warmer looked likely after Bryne signed Adnan Causevic.
HB Tórshavn hire AB Argir reserve goalkeeper on loan
As HB goalkeeper Teitur Gestsson has been sidelined with a sprained shoulder ligament, HB have been on the outlook for a temporary replacement. Highest on the wish list was last season’s AB Argir goalkeeper Símun Rógvi Hansen who has moved to Denmark to study, but as that option didn’t materialized, HB have secured a loan deal with AB’s current reserve keeper Heðin Stenberg, who played for HB in the troublesome 2011 season.
HB play in the cup competition against B36 Tórshavn on Sunday 6 April, while all the other matches will be played on Saturday. HB and B36 meet again in the league less than a week later; on Friday 5 April.
